Give away :D

Evening pretties, I wanted to do something different on my blog rather than posts of myself so I figured why not have a give away! I'm sure I'm not the only one who has 'old-newbies' in their wardrobes. Basically these are items you've purchased but have never worn for what ever reason, (or maybe that one time) but you have not touched them ever since ? Well these are my give aways... I haven't worn neither of the items, the skirt is a size bigger and I thought I'd throw the necklace in just to have more of an actual 'give away' Ok so if you are interested in the items, all you have to do is email me how you think the items would fit into your wardrobe/how you'd style them, and I will choose the winner :D

Lets have a little fun xxxx

Ootd

Day4 of fashion week and this was my outfit of the day. I wanted something casual and comfortable as it had been a crazy week of running up and down for me. I chose all black as my base outfit and teamed it with my oversized bottle green Zara blazer and silver pumps. I liked the simplicity of the look with the added style element of the metallic, which linked in well with this seasons trend! I only have the one image lol

You have to love the British street style; effortless and chic...
These two ladies above were my fave! I feel they reflected British style to the T!

The Exhibition I saw on Day 1 of fashion week, amazing!

My jaw actually dropped when I set my eyes on these, all I could think of was how I could get my hands on one of my own! I've never seen pieces as beautiful as this in real life I was honestly blown away by the designs, colours, sizes and uniqueness.

Fashion week Day2

I returned to the freemasons hall for the Phoebe English show, which ran half an hour late but it was worth the wait. The collection presented a different perspective to catwalk fashion. The pieces a variety if string but simple silhouettes in calico revealing some raw edges.. Take a look (my images aren't the best, the models moved quicker than my finger tip lol)

London Fashion Week

This has been the best fashion week for me so far! I've attended the three seasons before, but this one has been the most beneficial, inspirational and interactive. It's day 4 and I've attended 6 shows, spoken to designers, visited exhibitions and met some amazing people in the industry.

For me this fashion week as been about creating contacts and working my way up in the industry. The saying 'its not what you know, its WHO you know' becomes more and more apparent and creating valuable contacts can open so many doors. I had my first showcase of my own designs on the 13th of Sept at the 'FutureLdn' event in Bricklane, it was a great intro to fashion week for me and a great way to adversity my pieces.

I'm usually helping backstage as a dresser for some of the designers but this season I've sat and watched shows, mingled and swapped contact details with some lovely people. I have so many plans for the things I aim to achieve and although I'm still in uni I'm using my spare time to create a platform for myself because university does not last forever. By God's grace my hard work will pay off, he's brought me this far xo

Here are some pictures I took starting day one..

CAROLINE CHARLES S/S '13
First thought: 60's

The show opened with an array of beautiful summer prints presented in cute little dresses perfect for summer 2013.

As the show progressed we bagan to see seperates in block colours of fusia and orange, with the orange jacket (below) having been paired with a black wideleg trouser introducing the next colour pallet to the collection...

Taking us through to the finale, we were hit with a series of monocrome pieces...

The Finale; beautiful all white maxi skirt and blouse accessoried with a huge floppy straw hat really tied in the whole collection. The model refelcted such innocence as she walked at a slow pace really allowing us to take in the finale

Final walk through..

My date for the day, mommy dearest

Amazing experience of my first show sitting at LFW

What other way to start of London Fashion week than with my own showcase :D these are just a few snaps from the day. All the pieces have been made designer and sewn by myself, as well as all the patterns... More to come x

Vogue's Fashion Night Out '12!

Attended Vogue's FNO for the first time last night, I was soooo excited. I have to say I was a little disappointed I didn't get to experience as much of it as I'd have liked to because of how my day had began but it was a nice glimpse into the famous fashionable evening! And hey, there's always next year:) I just thought I'd share what I wore and the few images I could take.
