Colour Splash

Evening, so I finally have some time to show you my new babiesss. These are just a few items I got couple weeks ago to give my wardrobe some much needed 'revamping'. I mean I am allowed a treat now and again, plus I can't remember the last time I did a decent shop! My wardrobe just looks more and more gloomy to me every time I open it :( I picked up some bold items and one pretty print number I've had my eye on for while, and now she's mine :D You know as time goes on you begin to discard certain pairs of shoes? Nope, just me then? Well it's come to the point where I would only wear two pairs of heels out of the pairs I own (tragic!!) So I thought why not replace those two. I picked up a comfy 'day-time' and 'dress-up' pair. I want to get into the habit of wearing heels comfortably when going out and my new day timers should help... Anyway enough of me babbling on, have a look-see!

Ever felt as if a particular item was waiting for YOU to purchase it? 

Well I'm certain these were, just my size, in this beautiful colour and reduced down to £19.99. Yup, they were waiting for me!

I love bold statement jewellery, especially necklaces! I picked these two up in Primark and was immediately drawn to their boldness and tribal esque detail.

Elexu

A week ago I was lucky enough to have been invited to what turned out to be a great networking event. The organisation is a great opportunity for young aspiring individuals, enabling them to blossom in their chosen career paths. The vibe was very relaxed and friendly, I had the chance to meet some lovely people and bump into a couple familiar faces :) The event took place on the 24rh at VIA in Canary Wharf which was a lovely location; sun, scenery and new opportunities.

Should really come out here for drinks with the girls some time :)

Ideas are forming..

Some really simple draping as my design development for my next collection! In LOVE with this colour, and to think it wasn't part of my original plan but when I saw it I had to have it, and it was the final stretch of fabric left on the roll so I got it at a discounted price (oh so he led me to believe lol) Oh well I'm happy :D

Shoppingggggggg

So it's my day off and I've spent it on my feet! but It's been worth it :D I finally got the fabric I've been needing to start making the garments for my new collection. It will be quite a lux collection of evening wear dresses. Fabrics/Embellishments include; chiffon, stretch jersey, lace, satin, feathers, beads. It's probably coming across as a mish mash of things, but the end result will be lovely, I promise :). I will be working with a dark colour pallet of black, khaki green, with a dress in red and maybe one in cream for a pop of colour among the darkness. Below is just a mini photo diary of today's shopping trip :D

Destiny

I've been researching and drawing design ideas for my next collection even before I had completed the first lol (sooo many ideas running through my head!). The first was just a 'practice run' for both my skills as well as training myself to construct so many garments at a time. The next is a range of dresses I conducted a survey on where I listed the different aspects of a dress which my target market might  like and wear. I received just over 30 responses (which is MORE than I expected lol) Below is the first of the collection; I have named this collection 'Destiny' because I'm working to create my own, just seeing past my current state towards my future and where I'd like to be. It's quite a simple style  and silhouette to begin with, I'd say the print is enough of a statement. I will be creating and selling this range in a variety of styles/prints (inc this one) at affordable prices. A lot is still to be confirmed in terms of sizes and how many styles being that I'm working towards another collection for a friends charity event I've been asked to showcase at, I just wanted to share what I'm working on with you guys :) There will be something for everyone. If anyone is interested in placing an order on a one off I'd love to, if I have time to I'm stretching myself so thin these days lol :O Anyway hope you like what you see, drop a comment with your feedback xo

Simple Stripes

Evening all, earlier today I had to do a bit of running around, organising a few things and I thought I may as well do a little 'promo' of one of my garments from my 'mini capsule' collection. I went for a casual/comfortable outfit, teaming it with my blue soft denim jeans, black booties and through on my leather jacket for the slight chill in the air. I needed a big bag today and I think this is as big as they get! lol. I felt like having my hair out of my face today to I attempted a little 'milk maid' do with thick plaits on either side and all back in a low bun (something new lol)

Festival 'MOOD'

It's that season! I haven't personally been to any festivals so far :( but I've been observing the outfits of those who have been. Being that the British weather is SO unpredictable It's difficult to know what you can and cannot wear, 'do I bring a jacket?' 'but it doesn't go with my outfit :(' Those wardrobe dilemmas are all too real to me lol. But I've had a scurry through some outfits and put together a couple moodboards of what looks I like and thought to be suitable attire and where they can be purchased. Also my girl crush :D Gillian Zinser 'Ivy' from 90210 I think she is the perfect muse for this post ♥

Prints & Things

*waves*

Having had such an art and design/textiles background I've always been draw to DETAIL! Texture, colour, print and embellishment! However my own wardrobe does not reflect my love prints, which is definitely something that is going to change! This post is just a collage of the beautiful pieces I've stumbled across on the web *love struck* Fashion is such a beautiful thing and I thought I'd share some of my findings with you :)
