This has been the best fashion week for me so far! I've attended the three seasons before, but this one has been the most beneficial, inspirational and interactive. It's day 4 and I've attended 6 shows, spoken to designers, visited exhibitions and met some amazing people in the industry.
For me this fashion week as been about creating contacts and working my way up in the industry. The saying 'its not what you know, its WHO you know' becomes more and more apparent and creating valuable contacts can open so many doors. I had my first showcase of my own designs on the 13th of Sept at the 'FutureLdn' event in Bricklane, it was a great intro to fashion week for me and a great way to adversity my pieces.
I'm usually helping backstage as a dresser for some of the designers but this season I've sat and watched shows, mingled and swapped contact details with some lovely people. I have so many plans for the things I aim to achieve and although I'm still in uni I'm using my spare time to create a platform for myself because university does not last forever. By God's grace my hard work will pay off, he's brought me this far xo
Here are some pictures I took starting day one..
CAROLINE CHARLES S/S '13
First thought: 60's
The show opened with an array of beautiful summer prints presented in cute little dresses perfect for summer 2013.

As the show progressed we bagan to see seperates in block colours of fusia and orange, with the orange jacket (below) having been paired with a black wideleg trouser introducing the next colour pallet to the collection...
The Finale; beautiful all white maxi skirt and blouse accessoried with a huge floppy straw hat really tied in the whole collection. The model refelcted such innocence as she walked at a slow pace really allowing us to take in the finale
Final walk through..
